We had a lovely time on Wednesday morning talking to Charlotte Foot from BBC Radio Solent all about handwritten letters for a recorded piece which will go out in the near future.

Because children from Corfe Castle Primary School came on the Letter Writing Day at Leeson House back in the spring we thought it would be nice to catch up with them again and do some more letter writing while chatting to the BBC.

We also invited along Marjorie Edwards from the Rainbows Penpal Club in Swanage and Ali Jay, friend and fellow letter writer, to tell us of their experiences of handwritten letters too. Everyone was brilliant and one of the children’s letters they wrote and shared nearly moved us all to tears.

Really looking forward to hearing the piece soon. We’ll post an update as soon as we know when it’s going on-air!
