Win a signed copy of “Didn’t we have a lovely time!” by Michael Morpurgo

Come and join us at our letter writing events this summer and be in with a chance to win a signed copy of “Didn’t we have a lovely time!” by Michael Morpurgo, a beautiful uplifting book about a life-changing trip to a wonderful outdoor centre where children spend a week working on a farm as well as living together in a beautiful old Manor house.

Because of the amazing work Farms for City Children do, we thought it would be nice to have a little collection tin for them during our events this summer. All donations will go towards making sure as many children as possible get to experience being farmers for a week.

Plankbridge Shepherd’s Huts have donated us a huge box of postcards so we thought we could use them for the competition too. All you need to do is come and write the reason “Why you enjoy spending time in the outdoors” on the back of one of them and pop it into our special “Muck and Magic” postbox. Everyone who enters will be in with a chance of winning as we will draw a name out at random from all the entries. We hope to share some of the reasons throughout the summer, just to remind us to get outside and have some magical moments.

People are very welcome to enter by post too. Just send a postcard via Royal Mail with your reason written on the back to:

“The Handwritten Letter Appreciation Society, Michael Morpurgo Signed Book Competition, PO Box 9347, Swanage, Dorset, BH19 9BG”.

Please remember to include your NAME and ADDRESS so we can send the winner their prize. All details will remain confidential and only used for this competition.

The closing date for all entries will be Saturday 31st August 2019.
