It felt bittersweet to be invited on the BBC Local Radio Late Night Becky Show to talk about the beauty of letter writing while in the news Royal Mail and Ofcom are considering another nail in the coffin for it by reducing the number of delivery days per week, but hopefully some Royal Mail executives just might have been listening in to hear my plea that, although I’m no business guru, the thing to get letter numbers up again would surely be to promote letter writing.

I hope they were also listening in to Becky Want’s show to hear all the wonderful stories from listeners about letters they had treasured and what they meant to them.
