  1. Michael says:

There is nothing like a fine writing instrument.
When I was a child, I despised Ink pens. I found them to be difficult to write with and preferred pencil. Teachers scolded me and informed me that pens blue and black ink was the only acceptable writing instrument in the adult world.
Suddenly the world adjusted its view with the “Rollerball” pens, markers and such.
So, I found markers, Rollerball pens to be my fancy. However, these were not respected in many financial institutions like banks.
The interesting thing is that 1984 I was employed by NYC Transit Authority. The acceptable use of pencil only, payroll, reports and such. This has changed after many years.
Once I found the writing instrument I enjoyed. My interest in pens grew. I have a small collection of inexpensive fountain pens (which I enjoy despite leakage)
My first fountain pen was a Faber Castell. I purchased it from the MY Pen Hospital in lower Manhattan. I loved it. Sadly I damaged it. It sits on my dresser. I have rambled on too long.
Thank you and keep up the good work.
